Vintage Lead Britains Life Guard of 1837 Second Version Rare Romanesque Helmet
Vintage Lead Life Guard of 1837. Second Version, produced in 1897 with fixed arm and tin strip sword. It's from a 12 piece boxed set to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee (1837 to 1897). Half the figures from the set wear the uniform of 1897, much the same as today. The other half wear this Magnificent Romanesque helmet and have the white paint of their breeches taken up to waste level.
