Crescent Toys #1229 (1947-'55) Very Rare GPO ENGINEERS SET 8 Pieces Painted Lead

  
Crescent 1947-'55 Hollow Cast Painted Lead. This very rare set was issued between 1947 - 1955.

Set comprising : 2 x Telegraph poles, each fitted with climbing irons, cross-arms and caps. 1 Standing engineer with coil of wire, 1 Linesman in climbing position in blue overalls, 1 Service engineer in brown overalls kneeling testing line. 1 Brazier, 1 Cable drum on separate stand. These early lead model measures the standard 2/54mm.

At 1:32 scale and are hand painted in colours. Small amount of paint loss to the pieces and slight damage to poles but otherwise very good overall. Listed as very rare in Norman Joplin - Hollow Cast Figures book. Overall an excellent example of this Crescent set. Hopefully the pictures should tell their own story!
