W Britains No. 67 First 1st MADRAS NATIVE INFANTRY RARE

  
This is an incredible and scarce set, part of my father-in-law's collection amassed over 30 years. 67 First Madras Native Infantry, tied with string, into what appears to be the original box. Paint loss and damage to box and card as expected for age of soldiers, see photos. There is some water damage to the box, and mildew. This listing comes with a few caveats.

But they are tied in the box with a navy-blue string, not a black string as I've seen before for original sets. Also, they are not marked on the bottom of their oval bases. I assume that means they are from before W Britain started marking soldiers, pre 1900 or so, but it could mean they are not W. If any collectors would like to weigh in I'm happy to learn.
