Britain Ltd Toy Lead Soldiers Set Queen Elizabeth II Coronation State Coach (31)
Britain LTD rare lead toy solder 31-piece set Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Coronation, without the box. The 31 pieces are: the State Coach with attached traces with King and Queen inside; eight horses with four postilions; 14 soldiers; and 4 guards. The gold-and-blue State Coach of England carries Queen Elizabeth II who holds the royal scepter, wears a robe and the Imperial Crown and sits next to her husband. The four postilions and all the other figures have white breeches and red jackets.
The solder's arms are movable. This is a rare hand-painted set made out of lead dated approximately to the 50s, after 1953, when Queen Elizabeth was crowned. Two of the soldier were repaired: one sitting on a horse and the other one holding a spear - his hand does not move. The repair is not visible, apart from the solder's neck on the horse (picture attached). There are some light scratches of some of the horses. The colors are somewhat muted from being displayed. A piece of the coach connecting it to the horses has been broken off, but the coach has been attached to the horses with the remaining traces, so it doesn't really affected the look or functionality all that much.
