Royal Flying Corps Canada (Black Watch) Uniform Medals and Papers Collection
A fantastic and rare collection of items belonging to Lt. Philips Royal Flying Corps of the Royal Flying Corps (Black Watch) Canada who fought and was wounded at Ypres. Philips rose from the ranks and flew in 1918. He was born in the UK and adopted in Canada and this is documented in a printed copy of a newspaper article on his actions and bravery in Ypres.
The group also includes medals, original gunners paperwork, names folder with instructions, photographs, flying tunic and breeches. There is information on Lt. Philips bravery and stories from Ypres. The collection comes with extensive paperwork.
