HEYDE 32mm BOXED HUNT FIGURES - THE MEET. A delightful boxed set of the rare 32mm Heyde Hunt figures, marketed in England by both John Hill & Co.

This group, The Meet, comprises. Mounted Huntsman on Standing Horse.

Mounted Huntswoman, Sidesaddle, on Standing Horse. All the figures are believed to be complete and undamaged, apart from paint loss. The Huntswoman sitting sidesaddle is secured to her Horse with a small piece of Blu-Tack (Plastic Tac).

The Box, which clearly says MADE IN ENGLAND on the paper label, is in fair condition but the lid is torn at one corner. There is a pencil mark on the side of the lid showing 15/3 (or 1593). Inside is what appears to be the original tissue paper wrapping. These figures are sometimes described incorrectly as 40mm scale. In reality, they are 32mm scale as the overall height of a Standing Huntsman is 32mm (1.25 inches) and of a Mounted Huntsman 43mm (1.7 inches).

There are no discernible maker's marks. The standard scale used by Britains and other toy figure manufacturers is 1:32, in which the average height of a man is 54mm (2.12 inches), generally known as 54mm Scale. These figures were made to the smaller 1:54 scale in which the average height of a man is 32mm (1.25 inches) or 32mm scale. All items are packed carefully and securely in mailing boxes.
