Stunning and eminently display worthy homemade Mission Station as per Rorkes Drift. The maker of this was extremely talented and did a fantastic job, making this from a light weight wood. The roof is detachable and when lifted up it shows four rooms and an area for storage, maybe the weapons arsenal etc.
There is a piece of wood underneath the roof that snugly covers the two large rooms as per the images shown. That piece of wood just slides into place and can be easily lifted up and laid back down. The rooms do not have actual doors which open up, but the shape of the door has been carved into the walls to give the notion they do. The windows have been carved out so that you can look into the rooms. Such great intricate and detailed work. The roof is made up of two parts, both of which lift off and can be placed back in place very easily. There are a few bits of missing paint, but they can be easily touched up. There isn't any furniture pieces inside but that can be easily remedied.
Other than the bits of missing paint mentioned on the roofs, the main building is in pretty good order. The only real damage is to the side staircase that appears outside of the building. Part of this has become detached but should be easy to glue back into place.
Overall, with a little bit of TLC this can be easily brought back to its full glory. This would make a fantastic display piece, especially with Britains or similar figures.54mm scale figures would work pretty well. It would certainly suit a museum or similar establishment and is quite a large statement piece, with measurements as follows. 9 or 23cm in height. 12 or 30cm deep from front to back. Unfortunately due to the lightweight material and size, it would not be suitable to post.
