Is a genuine very rare. Large scale antique cast metal Bust of King Edward VII in his Field Marshall's Uniform, by BRITAINS from their Souvenir Busts Series. This example still has fine detail to the medals and uniform and is finished in a faded red paint finish, which maybe is meant to look like bronze back when it was made in 1901? The paint has worn off at the high points and on the back, but is the original rare colour.
The bust is set upon a black paint plinth that is all part of the same casting. On the reverse are the raised letters and date. It is in great condition for its age, 115 years old and it does have a split in the casting to the left side of his neck, which is hard to see (please see my pictures). It is a fine genuine example of a BRITAINS EDWARD VII Bust that rarely come on the market. The Bust measures 3.5 (9cm) high and 2.4 (6cm) wide and weighs 97g.
Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description. Many thanks for taking the time to look.
