But they are tied in the box with a navy-blue string, not a black string as I've seen before for original sets. Also, they are not marked on the bottom of their oval bases. I assume that means they are from before W Britain started marking soldiers, pre 1900 or so, but it could mean they are not W. If any collectors would like to weigh in I'm happy to learn.
