Rare 1905 Britains Set 137 Army Medical Service 24 piece Complete Excellent Lead
GENUINE 1905 FIRST EDITION BRITAINS LTD. From my own collection, this exceptionally rare, 100% complete 24 piece unboxed set of iconic Britains Set 137, representing the Army Medical Service.
This is the highly coveted 1905 First Edition release, easiliy identifiable by the correct historical bases and early figure mouldings. Finding this specific 120 year-old set entirely complete and in this condition is an absolute rarity for pre-war toy soldier collectors.
SET COMPLETION BREAKDOWN (24 PIECES) 3 x Medical Officers: in full dark-blue review dress, including two physicians in spiked ball helmets and a senior medical officer in a cocked hat on rounded bases. 6 x Stretcher bearers: oufitted in dark blue review uniforms.
3 x Canvas-Effect Stretchers: Structurally intact. 4 x Edwardian Nurses: featuring the distinct, early "wasp Waist" mold profiles. 8 x Wounded Casualties: In prone/lying positions.
Paint: Excellent vintage condition, retaining a brilliant, high-gloss paint patina. There are minor, expected micro-chips consistent with age. There are NO broken arms, NO snapped stretcher handles, and NO missing helmet components.
Figures stand straight and true. Bases: All figures feature the correct, Genuine 1905 bases. Bases are clearly stamped on the underside with the authentic circular lettering'W.
